Porfirio Rubirosa Ariza was born in 1909 in San Francisco de Macoro, Dominican Republic, as the third and youngest child of an upper-middle-class Criollo family. Pedro Mara Rubirosa and Ana Ariza Almánzar's parents were together, as a child. Ana was the oldest child, while César was the elder son.
