Pippa Middleton Life

Philippa Charlotte Matthews (née Middleton) is an English socialite, author, and columnist.

She began receiving media attention after her sister's wedding to Prince William as the maid of honour at her sister's wedding.

Early life and education

Philippa Charlotte Middleton was born on September 6, 1983 at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, Berkshire, England. She is the second of three children born to Michael Middleton (born 1949), a British Airways flight dispatcher, and Carole Middleton (née Goldsmith; born 1955), a former flight attendant. Her father is a member of a wealthy family linked to the British aristocracy. Her mother is descended from labourers and coal miners from County Durham. St Andrew's Bradfield, Berkshire, was christened. The family lived in Bradfield, Southend. Middleton's older sister, Catherine, Princess of Wales, and a younger brother, James.

In May 1984, the Middletons travelled to Amman, Jordan, where her father worked for British Airways before returning to Berkshire in September 1986. Middleton's mother established Party Pieces, a mail-order party supply firm, in 1987, but reports show that the company lost £1.068 million during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 1995, her family moved to Bucklebury, England. Middleton was first educated at St Andrew's School, a private boarding school in Pangbourne, and then Downe House School, a girls' day and boarding school in Cold Ash. She was a boarder at Marlborough College, where she earned a sports/all-rounder award. Middleton received a bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Edinburgh. She shared a house with Lord Edward Innes-Ker, the Duke of Roxburghe's son, and with Earl Percy, the Duke of Northumberland's heir apparent.

Middleton obtained her postgraduate Master's degree in Physical Education, Sport, and Physical Literacy from University of Wales Trinity Saint David in 2022.

Personal life

Middleton was the maid of honour at her sister Catherine's wedding to Prince William in 2011. Middleton's dress, which was also designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, was widely praised in the media at the wedding. It was made of ivory crêpe fabric and came with a cowl at the front and organza-covered buttons at the back. Copies of the dress were released on the High Street straight away, where there was a strong demand for them. Middleton is reported to have had her own influence in the selling of specific products and brands, a trend that has been described as the "Pippa Middleton effect."

Middleton's iPhone was hacked in September 2016. The Sun announced that a hacker who claimed to have 3,000 photos from her iCloud account had contacted it and demanded £50,000 for them. The hacker was arrested the next month.

Middleton's James Matthews, a hedge fund manager who is a former professional racing driver, was engaged to him in July 2016. The couple married at St Mark's Church, Berkshire, near Bucklebury Manor, the Middleton family's home. Laird of Glen Affric, Matthews' father, is the owner of a 10,000-acre estate in Scotland that he will inherit. Middleton will then be called Lady Glen Affric for one day. At this moment, she can use the courtesy name Mrs Matthews of Glen Affric the Younger. Arthur Michael William, the son of Arthur Michael William, was born in October 2018 at St Mary's Hospital, London. Grace Elizabeth Jane, the family's elder daughter, was born in March 2021. Rose, the couple's second child, was born in June 2022.
