Peter Bergman Career

Career

Bergman first auditioned for Dr. Jeff Martin's All My Children role. Dr. Cliff Warner's portrayal on All My Children, which he portrayed from 1979 to 1987 and then again from 1988-89 was his first notable role. Cliff began his career as a child, married Nina (Taylor Miller) four times (1980, 1982, 1986, 1989), and divorced her three times.

Bergman said, "I'm not a doctor, but I'm on TV," in a Vicks Formula 44 cough syrup advertising campaign in 1986. Chris Robinson, who appeared on ABC's General Hospital, was the first spokesperson for the ad campaign, which began in 1984. After Robinson's disappearance of some legal problems, Bergman replaced him.

Bergman has been playing Jack Abbott on The Young and the Restless since 1989. In 1997, Bergman portrayed Jack Abbott in "The Heather Biblow tale," on The Nanny, where he displayed an on-screen kiss with Pamela Anderson. In an episode of Season 3, Jack starred as Jack on The King of Queens in 2001. On The Young and the Restless, Bergman also portrayed Marco Annicelli, Jack's doppelganger.
