With curious buyers, a 'Illegal' treehouse without electricity, septic, or bathrooms has been on the 'phone ringing off the hook.'

www.dailymail.co.uk, November 11, 2023
The owner of the 'Levitating Lighthouse,' perched on a steep cliff off Elliott Bay beach, a quarter-miles from the nearest road, expected $230,000 cash only. Following a month of retaliation from potential buyers, the listing was formally pulled from the market on Thursday evening. In an interview, Matthew Gerrish, Owner and Designated Broker at Premier Real Estate Partners, said, 'There have been a lot of calls on the property, and phones have been ringing off the hook for it.' The treehouse has been classified as "illegal" by the Department of Building and Inspections in Seattle, without modern services like electricity, sewer, septic, or bathrooms.
