José Paulo Bezerra Maciel Jnior (born 25 July 1988) - better known as Paulinho - is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for Sport Club Corinthians Paulista. He is also a former Brazil national, winning 56 caps between 2011 and 2018.
Club career
Paulinho began playing for Po de Açcar in 2004 before joining the youth team. Paulinho joined Lithuanian side FC Vilnius in 2006 after struggling to make it to the first team. He enjoyed success with the club over his two seasons in Lithuania, scoring five goals from 38 domestic appearances, but FC Vilnius was relegated to the second division after Paulinho left the club where he was transferred to Poland, joining the Ekstraklasa side KS ód>. Paulinho returned to Brazil and his first club Po de Açcar in the summer of 2008 after one season in Poland, where he made 17 league appearances. After a single fruitful season, Paulinho was back to action, joining Série B side Bragantino in 2009.
In 2009, while playing for Bragantino, he captured the attention of the So Paulo giants Corinthians and was signed by the club.
