Paula Marshall (born June 12, 1964) is an American actress.

Personal life

Marshall is from Rockville, Maryland. She has been married to actor Danny Nucci since 2003, and the couple have a child.

She is the sister of Virginia politician Bob Marshall, who became well known for recommending a "bathroom bill" (a law that would restrict transgender people to public restrooms of their born sex) before being defeated by transgender candidate Danica Roem in the November 2017 state election. Paula Marshall attributed his defeat to "karma" for his "homophobic" behavior.

In the pilot episode of the short-lived Flash, Marshall appeared in 1990 as Iris West, the love interest of Flash (Barry Allen). She appeared on Superboy with a young Clark Kent before he called himself Superman, portraying the villainous Christina Riley, a woman who is, indecently, a werewolf. Both series are part of DC Comics. Marshall appeared on The Wonder Years as a three-episode guest, and later appeared on programs such as Seinfeld, Nash Bridges, Grapevine, and Diagnosis: Murder. Terri appeared in Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth later in 1992. She appeared on Wild Oats in 1994 for the first time. Marshall appeared in W.E.I.R.D., a science fiction cult classic, in 1995. Dr. Abby O'Reardon, an evil scientist who revives her boss (and later becomes his mother), is bent on turning grown men into babies, a science portrayed by William Maloneas. Marshall appeared in B movies for a few years, including 1997's Chicago Sons. She landed a recurring role on Spin City and Dennis Farina's film That Old Feeling, in which her character fell in love with Danny Nucci's paparazzo.

Marshall appeared in several pilots that were not picked up, including the Elizabeth Lackey series Cooking Lessons and Rob Thomas' Sticks.

Marshall debuted in 1998 on Rob Thomas' Cupid, first in the United States. Dr. Claire Allen, a psychiatrist supervising a man named Trevor (Jeremy Piven) who believes he is Cupid, appeared on the show. Marshall joined David E. Kelley's Snoops, a quirky detective firm.

Marshall returned to television screens in 2000: first on Aaron Sorkin's Sports Night as a porn actor and lover for Jeremy (Joshua Malina) and then in Cursed (a.k.a. (See Weber's Exhibition). She appeared on Just Shoot Me! in 2002. Nina Van Horn's niece.

Hidden Hills was an offbeat comedy about three families in suburbia. Marshall appeared in the Steve Martin-Bonnie Hunt remake of Cheaper by the Dozen, as well as a cameo appearance in Break a Leg, which starred her husband Danny Nucci.

Marshall appeared in a version of the television show Miss Match in 2004, but the film was cancelled before it aired. She appeared in Veronica Mars, created by Rob Thomas, in October, and she reprised the role at the end of season two. Marshall's next big role came in the sitcom Out of Practice.
