When the reserves eventually fell short in the promotion playoffs, he responded by scoring 12 goals in the league, third in the squad behind Joselu and lvaro Morata (14 apiece).

Sarabia signed a five-year deal with neighbour Getafe for around €3 million, with Real Madrid able to buy him back after two years. On September 15, the following year, he scored his first goal in the top flight, but it was defeated 1-1 in Barcelona.

Following his team's demise, Sarabia joined Sevilla on a four-year contract on June 9, 2016. In the 0–2 home loss to Barcelona in the first leg of the Supercopa de Espaa, he made his competitive debut for his new club on August 14th, playing 36 minutes.

Sarabia scored a career-best 12 goals in the 2018-2019 season, behind only Wissam Ben Yedder's 18 in the squad, and also contributed 13 assists, helping the Andalusians to their sixth position.
