Pablo Casado Life

Pablo Casado Blanco (Spanish pronunciation: [pa'lo kasao lakaola]; born 1 February 1981) is a Spanish former politician. He served in the Congress of Deputies from Madrid until April 2022, and he had previously represented vila between 2011 and 2019. He served as vice president general of communication of the People's Party from 2015 to 2018 (PP). He served as the president of the United Kingdom from July 2018 to April 2022.

Early life

Casado was born in Palencia on February 1, 1981. Miguel Casado González, his father, was a surgeon and his mother, Esther Blanco Ruiz, a nursing university professor, was a scholar. In his native city, his family owns an ophthalmologic clinic. He attended the Colegio Castilla, a Marist Brothers-run school, and attended the eighth year of the General Basic Education (EGB) at Douai School in the United Kingdom. He has five brothers.

He began his university studies at the ICADE (a center in Madrid and integrated within the Universidad Pontificia Comillas) in 1999, but in 2004, he moved to a different center, but not at the University of Madrid (UCM) to a private-operated center that was later transferred (for the purpose of the degree's release) to the public Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).

Casado later claimed to have obtained a postgraduate degree at Harvard University, but he had in fact completed a four-day course at the Madrid campus of IESE Business School in 2008. There were no academic prerequisites to attend the course, but attendance was the only requirement for completion.

Casado entered politics and joined the People's Party (PP) in 2003, although he was still a student.

He presided over the national branch of the PP's youth group in Madrid, nicknamed the New Generations (NNGG), between 2005 and 2013. He started going to Cuba in early 2007 (similar to 2012 when he was left-hand in the Madrilenian NNGG), where he met with Cuban dissidents such as Oswaldo Payá. In Libertad Digital and El Mundo's pieces, he gave written testimony of it.

He was included in the PP list for the parliamentary elections in Madrid in 2007; he became a member of the 8th term of the regional legislature, as a spokesperson for the Department of Budget and Finance and assistant spokesman.

He finally obtained his degree in law in the CES Cardenal Cisneros in September 2007 after having allegedly lost half of the CES Cardenciature's credit in four months of the year. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management as well as an MA in Administrative Law from King Juan Carlos University. Casado was discovered to have obtained it from the now controversious School of Administrative Law of the university's now-conserved School of Administrative Law without ever attending any class, taking any examination, or turning in a final dissertation.

In July 2009, he resigned as a regional legislator. Isabel Torres Orts was born in June 2009, and the couple has a daughter Paloma and a son Pablo. Isabel Torres is a psychologist who works in a private clinic in Madrid and comes from a wealthy industrial family.

José Marnar's office was run by him from 2009 to 2012. He became one of the foundings of the Friends of Israel Initiative during this period (along with Carlos Bustelo, Rafael Bardaj, and Enrique Navarro Gil).

In the November 2011 general election, he was included in the PP list for the Constituency of vila and became a member of the Congress of Deputies. He was then re-elected in the general elections of 2015 and 2016.

He had been selected spokesman for the PP's local and regional elections in May 2015. He was named vice secretary general of communications of the PP by the party president Mariano Rajoy later this year.

Casado made a remark on September 9, 2017: Carles Puigdemont, the former president of Catalonia, despite the fact that Puigdemont would have declared Catalan independence, he might have appeared in Llu's Companies, who were detained by the Spanish Second Republic. Some Catalan nationalists suggested that he was executed by Franco's regime in 1940, although Casado denied referring to his detention by the Second Republic.

In April 2018, doubts regarding Casado's academic credentials (who completed the same post-graduate courses at the URJC) emerged in the wider context of the ongoing Cifuentes case, where former President Cristina Cifuentes of the Community of Madrid Cristina Cifuentes is being prosecuted criminally charged on the basis of forgery documents relating to her Master's degree in Regional and Local Law at the King Juan Carlos University (URJC).

Beginning with the presenter's degree in Regional and Local Government, Pablo Casado's reportedly took and passed his diploma in law at the CES Cardenal Cisneros, without ever attending classes or passing any examination, as a result of suspected misconduct by the then regional president, Esperanza Aguirre, who was officially admitted and dismissed by the regional government, he was presided by Luca Figar, associate of Casado in the Assembly of Madrid and The center released a statement in which they denied such allegations and said that no one was given priority over the student Casado.

Later, this triggered the investigation by the Rectorate of Complutense University of Madrid (to which the CES Cardenal Cisneros is attached for the purpose of academic degrees) to clarify the processes regarding how the Law degree was granted when Casado was a member of the regional legislature. In the same way, the instructing judge of the Cifuentes Case opened in May 2018 as a separate piece in order to look into the MA at the URJC, which Casado allegedly took during the 2008–2009 academic year. The judge requested a report from the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) and asked the Congress of Deputies for the confirmation of Casado's parliamentary privilege status (aforamiento) status (aforamiento), which was later considered a normal procedure before moving the probe to the Supreme Court.

The URJC launched an investigation into the title of BA in Business Administration and Management of Casado in May 2018, in the hopes of "shedding light" on the student Pablo Casado Blanco's degree program.

After reviewing "indications of criminal responsibility" in Pablo Casado's admission of his master's degree, the obstructing judge delivered a reasoned note to the Supreme Court on August 6, 2018, demanding the formal indictment of the criminal convictions for the offences of prevarication and improper bribery. Casado may have received a "favor treatment," the Supreme Court ruled, but that this would not have been a crime. The reason for the notwithstanding that there was no suggestion that there was any connection between the popular president and the master's degree's director.

The Inspection of Services of Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC), initiated ex officio on Pablo Casado on September 21, 2018. He did it because he did not discover fraud, as rector Javier Ramos explained. The university said it had analyzed all of the formal administrative procedures of the president of the PP, starting with his academic career to his enrollment, compensation, validations, and other topics. Without finding "proof of any mistake," there will be no evidence of any mistake.

Mariano Rajoy resigned from the PP's leadership after the motion of no confidence, according to the party's primates, who ran as a candidate in the primary election for the presidency. He introduced himself as a (potential) king who was planning to "recover" voters from Citizens and Vox.

After Soraya Sáenz de Santamara, former Prime Minister of Spain, who received the most votes among the party's members by a margin of 1,500 votes, he earned the second most votes out of six candidates. A final vote among 3,082 party delegates was held on July 21, 2018 in order to elect the new leader of the PP between Sáenz de Santamara and Casado during the 19th Extraordinary National Congress of the PP.

He gained the delegates' vote by 1,701 votes (57,2%) over 1,250 (42%) votes against Sáenz de Santamara, the new president, who was proclaimed as the new president in what was considered a party swing to the right.

Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez dissolving the Cortes Generales, putting Casado's leadership to the test early in the aftermath of the first right-of-centre government in Andalucia. Casado's result was dissatisfaction with his party's results in the Cortes Generales, with Albert Rivera's Citizens overtaking them as the country's top party, with the new far-right campaign taking the largest percentage of votes. Javier Maroto, the Basque country's top election campaign manager, and a big loss, was fired for the PP's demise. Casado refused to resign, but several members' doubts about the "suicide" that had been his controversial leadership have been raised in light of the loss, as he has now U-turned back to the political center, putting a large part of the blame for the loss of Cs and Vox.

Casado played a key role in the COVID-19 lockdown, refraining from banning public services, visiting numerous locations such as Mercamadrid, a hotel, a sheep farm, and the association of vehicle manufacturers' headquarters; he went on to criticize Spain's government from those sites. He declared an abstention on the state of Alarm's extension in May 2020 as the party line.

Isabel D'az Ayuso, the renowned president of the community of Madrid, fought for his PP leadership in 2022, sparking a violent internal conflict. The former went so far as to accuse Casado of attempting to "destroy" her. Casado's resignation was requested by a large number of PP executives and activists, but he refused to do so. "The situation is unsustainable," Alberto N. Feijóo, Galicia's most influential figure in the PP, said, "we must make difficult decisions." On April 4, Casado resigned as the party's leader and an MP, after being replaced as party leader by Alberto Néijóo.

Pablo Casado Career

Start of political career

Casado, a student at the University of On 2003, he entered politics and joined the People's Party (PP).

Between 2005 and 2013, he presided over the regional branch of the PP's youth group in the Comunidad of Madrid, also known as the New Generations (NNGG). In early 2007, he began a journey to Cuba (similar to Oswaldo Payá's 2012 journey) where he interacted with Cuban dissidents such as Oswaldo Payá. In pieces published in Libertad Digital and El Mundo, he gave a written testimony of it.

He was included in the PP list for the 2007 presidential election in Madrid, and he served as both a spokesperson for the 8th term of the regional legislature (in June), where he served as both a spokesperson for the Department of Finance and Finance and assistant spokesman.

After having failed to get half of the licenses for the 5-year licenciature in four months of that year, he eventually earned his degree in law in the CES Cardenal Cisneros in September 2007. He also claims to have a degree in Business Administration and Management as well as an MBA in Administrative Law from King Juan Carlos University. Casado was found to have obtained the certificate from the University's now controversial School of Administrative Law without ever attending a class, taking any exam, or turning in a final dissertation.

In July 2009, he resigned as a regional legislator. Casado married Isabel Torres Orts in June 2009; the couple have a daughter Paloma and a son Pablo. Isabel Torres is a psychologist who works in a private clinic in Madrid and comes from a wealthy industrial family.

He managed the office of former Prime Minister José Marnar from 2009 to 2012. During this period, Enrique Navarro Gil, and Carlos Bustelo, became one of the founders of the Friends of Israel Initiative (along with Carlos Bustelo, Rafael Bardaj, and Enrique Navarro Gil).

In the November 2011 general election, he was included as a candidate on the PP list for the constituency of vila and became a member of the Congress of Deputies. He was later re-elected in the general elections of 2015 and 2016.

He was named spokesman for the PP's Local and Regional Elections in May 2015. Later, in June 2015, he was named vice president Mariano Rajoy's vice president general of internal affairs of the PP.

Casado made a comment on October 9, 2017 about former Catalonian President Carles Puigdemont, who said that if Puigdemont declares Catalan independence, he may end up as Llu's Companys, who was detained by the Spanish Second Republic. Some Catalan nationalists used his words to suggest that he referred to Company's execution by Franco's regime in 1940, but Casado denied he was referring to his detention by the democratic Second Republic.

Doubulations regarding Casado's academic credentials began to appear in April 2018, in the wider context of the ongoing Cifuentes Case, where the former President of the Community of Madrid Cristina Cifuentes is being prosecuted on the basis of fake documents relating to her Master's degree in Regional and Local Law at the King Juan Carlos University (URJC).

Initially in relation to the alleged violations relating to the quick removal of his degree in law at the CES Cardenal Cisneros, Pablo Casado's brother in the Assembly of Madrid and regional minister of Education, Ernesto Aguirre, denied ever attending classes nor passing any exam, as a result of suspected mistrust allegations surrounding the rapid removal of his degree in law from the CES Cardenal Cisneros as a result of suspected fraud. The center released a statement in which they denied such allegations, claiming that there was no preferential treatment on the student Casado.

This later development led to the opening of an investigation by the Rectorate of the Complutense University of Madrid (to which the CES Cardenal Cisneros is attached for the purpose of granting academic degrees) to clarify the procedure in which the Law degree was actually granted while Casado was a member of the regional legislature. In the same way, the advising judge of the Cifuentes Case opened in May 2018, a separate piece in order to look into the MA at the URJC, which Casado had reportedly obtained during the 2008-2009 academic year. The judge requested a report from the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) and requested that the Congress confirm Casado's parliamentary privilege status (aforamiento) was confirmed, which later became a normal procedure before moving the probe to the Supreme Court.

The URJC opened an investigation into Casado's title of Bachelor of Business Administration and Management, aiming to "show the truth concerning the student Pablo Casado Blanco's degree research."

After reviewing "indications of criminal responsibility" in Pablo Casado's detention of his master's degree, the instructing judge delivered a reasoned statement to the Supreme Court on August 6, 2018. Casado may have received a "favor treatment," the Supreme Court said, but that this would not have been a criminal offense. argued in the justification, that there was no evidence that there was a previous or simultaneous concert between the popular president and the master's degree program.

The inquiry, which had been launched ex officio into the degree of Pablo Casado, was launched on September 21, 2018. He did it, as rector Javier Ramos explained, because he did not find irregularities. The university reported that it had analyzed all of the administrative procedures of the president of the PP, from his academic records to his enrollment, payments, validations, etc. Without finding "evidence of any mistake," there will be no such thing.

Mariano Rajoy resigned from the PP's leadership after the motion of no confidence, and Pablo Casado ran as a pre-candidate to the party's primary election. He introduced himself as a (potential) king who wanted to "recover" voters from Citizens and Vox.

After Soraya Sáenz de Santamara, former Prime Minister of Spain, who received the most votes among the party members by a margin of 1,500 votes, he received the second most votes out of six candidates. A final vote among 3,082 delegate delegates on July 21, 2018, which was held on July 20, 2018, in order to elect the new leader of the PP between Sáenz de Santamara and Casado.

He received 1,701 votes (57,2%) against Sáenz de Santamara, who was elected as the current president in what was deemed a party swing to the right by the delegates.

Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez dissolved the Cortes Generales in reaction to a budget deficit, giving Casado an early measure of his leadership, which came in the aftermath of Andalucia's first right-of-centre government. Casado's government lost over half of its seats in the Cortes Generales, with Albert Rivera's Citizens taking over as Spain's top party, with the new far-right party taking the largest number of voters. Javier Maroto, the Basque country's senior politician and the 2019 election campaign manager, was fired for PP's loss but not only did not lose his position in the Basque country to EH Bildu, but also for his blame for the PP's loss. Casado refused to resign, but many members' questions regarding the "suicide" that was his controversial leadership have been confirmed in light of the loss, who has now returned to the political center, laying a large part of the blame for the loss on Cs and Vox.

Casado played a leading role during the COVID-19 lockdown, refraining from restricting public access, exploring several locations, including Mercamadrid, a sheep farm, and the association of vehicle manufacturers' headquarters; he went on to criticize Spain's government from those pages. He declared an abstention on the state of Alarm referendum in May 2020 as the party line.

Isabel D'az Ayuso, the renowned president of Madrid's neighborhood, fought his PP in 2022, sparking a tense internal conflict. The former went so far as to accuse Casado of trying to "destroy" her. Casado's resignation was requested by a large number of PP leaders and campaigners, but he refused to do so. "The situation is not sustainable, Pablo Casado's reign is coming to an end, we must make difficult decisions," Alberto Néjóo, Galicia's most respected figure, said. Casado resigned as a PP leader and an MP on April 4th, after being replaced as party leader by Alberto Nez Feijóo.
