NASA's James Webb snaps a STUNNING photo of a young cluster of stars 200,000 light-years away

www.dailymail.co.uk, January 12, 2023
James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), a NASA mission, has published yet another new photograph, giving new insight into how stars formed in the early universe more than ten billion years ago. The photograph depicts a young cluster of stars NGC 346, which is more than 200,000 light-years from Earth. NGC 346, which is located in the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC), a dwarf galaxy near the Milky Way, is particularly interesting to astronomers because it resembles the early Universe's conditions when star formation was at its highest point. Astronomers believe that studying this area will help reveal how the first stars formed during the 'cosmic noon', which is only two to three billion years after the Big Bang.

The 'fingerprint' in space is captured by James Webb's Space Telescope

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 12, 2022
The remarkable sight of at least 17 dust rings, which look like a fingerprint, was discovered by the US space agency's new James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). Wolf-Rayet 140, which stands more than 5,000 light years from Earth, is a constellation of Wolf-Rayet 140 (WR 140). Each ring was designed as the two stars close together and the streams of gas they created collided, compressing the air and creating dust.
