Szalantzy married Klara Szalantzy on June 22, 2001. Szalantzy was a model from Munich and former basketball player Draen Petrovis former girlfriend. Club career
Bierhoff, the son of a German utility magnate, played for nine clubs in four different countries. In Serie A, he scored 102 goals, one of the highest totals for a non-Italian in the league's history. He was the top scorer for Udinese in the 1997–98 season.
Bierhoff, on the other hand, was never to be a success in the Bundesliga. He had a chance in the Austrian Bundesliga after failing to shine in Germany. He had the opportunity to visit Ascoli, Italy, because of his work. Bierhoff found fame and success in the German national team and under Alberto Zaccheroni's leadership. He then migrated to Milan in 1998, winning the Serie A championship in his first season with the club, as well as 20 goals in all competitions, including the match-winning goal against Perugia in the final, title-determining match of the season. With 15, he set a new Serie A record for most headed goals in a single season in 1998-99. After three seasons with Monaco, he migrated to Ligue 1 in 2001 for one year before returning to Serie A to play for ChievoVerona, where he retired at the end of the 2002–03 season. Chievo lost 3–4 to Juventus in his last game in his hat-trick.
International career
Bierhoff made his Germany national team debut in a friendly against Portugal on February 21, 1996. In his country's 2–0 victory over Denmark on March 27, 1996, he scored his first two international goals in his country's second appearance. Altogether Bierhoff scored 37 goals in 70 caps, with both goals in the 2–1 victory over the Czech Republic in the Euro 1996 final after being brought on as a replacement.
Germany trailed Northern Ireland, 0–1, with 20 minutes remaining when Berti Vogts, the national team's coach, brought in Thomas Häßler and Oliver Bierhoff. Bierhoff had three assists within seven minutes, indicating that Bierhoff had scored the fastest hat-trick in the German national team's history. After Jürgen Klinsmann's departure, he was named captain of the national team in 1998.
Bierhoff has also participated in Euro 2000 and the 2002 FIFA World Cups in 1998 and 2002. In Germany's first match of the 2002 tournament at the Sapporo Dome on June 1, he scored 8–0 in an 8–0 victory over Saudi Arabia. On the 30th of June, he made his last appearance for his country during the second half of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Final against Brazil, but he was unable to help the Germans win by 0–2 loss.
Managerial career
Bierhoff was a coach of the German national football team from 2004 to 2017, a new position was created as a result of Jürgen Klinsmann's acceptance of the coaching position. Basically, the roles revolve around the public relations component of the organization rather than teaching duties. On January 1, 2018, a structural reform in the German Football Association was implemented, and Bierhoff was appointed as the technical director of the German national team (formally Direktor Nationalmannschaften und Akademie, "director national teams and football growth")).
