Nithya Ram is an Indian television and film actress who works in Kannada , Tamil and Telugu productions.

She began her career as an actress in Kannada television soap operas.

She is the elder sister of actress Rachita Ram.

As of 2017, she played the main lead in the mega hit show Nandini.

Early life and career

Nithya Ram comes from a family of artists, with her father K. S. Ramu and sister Rachita Ram being classical dancers themselves, and the latter has since appeared in films. Nithya is a classical dancer who has studied at Welight Academy as well. She has a bachelor degree in biotechnology and worked for a few years, but her "aspire" of becoming a heroine has never came true.

Nithya began her acting career with the Kannada television show opera Benkiyalli Hoovu, which also costarred her sister. She went on to appear in other Kannada shows, including Karpoorada Gombe, Rajkumari, and Eradu Kanasu. She appeared in one Telugu film, i.e. Muddhu Bidda. She had been filming in Diganth, but it was unable to take off. She was originally contracted to appear in Muddu Manase opposite Aru Gowda in 2014. Around the time, she committed to her second film opera in Telugu, Amma Naa Kodala. Later, she appeared in Nandini, the Tamil superhit television serial.
