Nicole Lyn (born Nicole Stephanie Danielle Lyn, 1978) is a Canadian television actress.
She is best known for her appearance in Student Bodies, a Canadian teenage comedy film.
Early life
Lyn was born in Brampton, Ontario, to Cheryl Gabay, a Jamaican woman of Afro-Jamaican descent, and Peter Lyn, who is Chinese-Jamaican. She grew up in the Toronto area. Nicole performed in the National Ballet School's Junior Dance division as an infant and was also a member of the Canadian Children's Opera Chorus. After accompanying her aunt, a model, to her audition, Nicole began showing business when she was offered a spot on a Jordache billboard.
Personal life
Lyn married Dulé Hill, an actor on The West Wing and Psych, on July 10, 2004. Hill applied for divorce from Lyn on November 28, 2012, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause.
She began a friendship with Chad Easterling in 2014. On June 13, 2018, she gave birth to her son, Crosby Sparrow Easterling.
Career
She auditioned for and was accepted to Claude Watson School of the Arts at the age of 10. She appeared in commercials, guest starring roles, and appeared in Eric's World (1991), a Canadian kid-com. She later auditioned for and attended Cardinal Carter Academy for the Performing Arts in Toronto, where she was a dance major from grade 7 to 9.
She later moved to Jamaica (where her father resides) in tenth grade and attended Belair High School in Mandeville, Jamaica.
One of her first auditions after returning to Canada was for the YTV youth sitcom Student Bodies (1997), in which she appeared alongside Jamie Elman, Emma Emme McIninch, Ross Hull, Jennifer Finnigan, and Mark Taylor.
Lyn appeared in the television series Ramona for the first time.
She has appeared on television guest appearances on The Kids in the Hall, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Relic Hunter Andy Richter Manages the Universe, My Uncognition, Half & Half, and Psych. She appeared in Eric's World and Student Bodies, a series regular on television shows.
