Nicole Briscoe (née Manske) is an American sportscaster who works for ESPN.

Briscoe became a SportsCenter anchor in 2015. Originally focusing on auto racing for the network, which included stints as the host of NASCAR Countdown and NASCAR Now.

She is married to IndyCar Series driver Ryan Briscoe, whom she wed in a Hawaii outdoor ceremony in 2009.

Early life

She graduated from Hononegah High School in 1998 and was a resident of Roscoe, Illinois. Danica Patrick, a future auto racer, and her late mother Danica Patrick were cheerleaders back in 1996.

Nicole won the Miss Illinois Teen USA 1998 and represented in the Miss Teen USA pageant in Shreveport, Louisiana, in August 1998. Nicole was a semi-finalist in the pageant, finishing third (of 10) in the evening gown competition, seventh in swimsuit, and tenth in interview, achieving her eighth overall on average. She competed in the Miss Illinois USA 2001 pageant, placing first runner-up to Rebecca Ambrosi two years after losing on her title.

Personal life

In 2009, she married Ryan Briscoe in an outdoor wedding in Hawaii, and they've since had daughters. Ryan became a naturalized American citizen in 2018.

Early career

Nicole earned her first job at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois, while working with WREX-TV, the NBC station in Rockford, in Dekalb, Illinois. She began working as a general assignment reporter for WANE-TV in Fort Wayne, Indiana, before moving to WISH-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana, in April 2004. Nicole covered the Indianapolis 500, the NFL's Indianapolis Colts, and the NBA's Indiana Pacers during her time on WISH-TV. She was also a pit reporter for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network. Nicole announced in the 2006 Indianapolis 500 as her last day, with WISH-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina, ending her career.

Nicole was co-host of The Speed Report (formerly Speed News), a Sunday motorsports show on Speed Channel. She took over Connie LeGrand and hosted the show from July 1, 2006 to January 27, 2008, when she moved to become the new host of the daily news show NASCAR Now on ESPN2.

Current career

Briscoe co-hosted the NASCAR pre-race on ESPN/ABC from 2008 to 2014. She has been working as a SportsCenter anchor since 2015.
