Erin Andrews Career

Career

Andrews began as a freelance reporter for Fox Sports Florida in 2000. She served as a Tampa Bay Lightning reporter for the Sunshine Network from 2001 to 2002. Andrews was a television host and reporter for the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Thrashers, and Atlanta Hawks from 2002 to 2004.

Andrews began working with ESPN in April 2004 as a reporter for ESPN National Hockey Night. She has appeared on the College World Series, Little League World Series, and Great Outdoor Games. Andrews began working as a sideline reporter for ESPN College Football Saturday Primetime and Big Ten college basketball games, and in 2005, her job expanded to include ESPN College Football Thursday Primetime and Major League Baseball sideline reporting. She worked for ESPN and ABC's live coverage of the Scripps National Spelling Bee from 2008 to 2010.

Andrews appeared on ABC's Dancing with the Stars for the tenth season in 2010, as partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy performed. Out of a total of 11 couples, they came in third place.

Andrews signed an endorsement agreement with Reebok in January 2011 to market its ZigTech brand. Texas Christian University Horned Frogs football players were slipping on the grass two weeks before as a sideline reporter during the 2011 Rose Bowl, Andrews noticed that Texas Christian University Horned Frogs football players were slipping on the turf due to their new Nike shoes. ESPN updated its coverage guidelines for journalists, which prompted Andrews to resign from her Reebok contract by the end of 2011.

Ex ESPN executive Keith Clinkscales pleaded not guilty of masturbating while sitting next to Andrews on an airplane flight earlier this year. Andrews was reported to have disclosed the situation to a variety of people but decided not to pursue it with ESPN's HR department because she was already shaken by the public's revelation of her stalking activities.

Andrews was on ESPNU's first hour of ESPN's College GameDay, and she had been a Good Morning America reporter on ABC since 2010, but she hadn't been to the show since covering the Oscars in February 2011.

Andrews was fired from ESPN to Fox Sports on June 29, 2012. She was the first host of Fox College Football's studio show, and analysts Eddie George and Joey Harrington joined her. Andrews was also a reporter for Fox News and appeared as a field reporter for some major sporting events on Fox, including the MLB All-Star Game, the World Series, the NFL Playoffs, and Daytona 500. With the introduction of Fox Sports 1 on August 17, 2013, Andrews became the host of Fox College Football Kickoff and Fox College Saturday, a direct competitor to ESPN College Gameday, which previews the weekend's biggest college football games. Andrews appeared on Fox Football Daily, as a daily studio broadcaster. After replacing Pam Oliver, Andrews became the sideline reporter on Fox's top NFL broadcasting staff, beginning with the 2014 NFL season. She then resigned from Fox Sports in 2016 to work exclusively with the network's NFL team.

Andrews replaced Brooke Burke-Charvet as co-host of Dancing with the Stars in March 2014, joining Tom Bergeron for the show's 18th season. Throughout the show's 28th season, She and Bergeron remained in their roles.

Andrews has also hosted the CMT Music Awards twice, hosting the 2015 awards with actress Brittany Snow on June 10 and NFL player J. Watt on June 8.
