Nicki Minaj is facing a fresh court suit after a musician claimed she stole her beat in her 2014 album I Lied. According to TMZ, the 40-year-old rapper (born Onika Tanya Maraj) was sued alongside music producer Mike Will Made It by musician Julius Johnson. Johnson claims that the beat in I Lied, a track from her 2014 album The Pinkprint, was a 'carbon copy' of a beat he made for the 2011 song he released on YouTube, on mysleeve.

On Wednesday evening, Rapper Yo Gotti's Memphis restaurant Prive was the scene of a deadly shootout. Officers in Memphis's Hickory Hill neighborhood responded to a shooting. Two male victims were found with gunshot wounds on the scene, one of whom was declared dead on the scene, and the other was transported to Regional One Health in Memphis and was later pronounced dead.
