George Michael Mukula, also known as Mike Mukula, is a Ugandan politician, technical pilot, and businessman.

Early life and education
On August 27, 1956, Mukula was born in Soroti, Teso sub-region of Uganda's Eastern Region. Before being accepted to the Kenya School of Flying at Wilson Airport in Nairobi, Kenya, he attended local schools. He completed his pilot's schooling in the United States. He was awarded a Master of Business Administration by Nkumba University in 2005. The Latin University of Theology, a Torrance, California, USA, gave him an honorary doctorate degree in 2009.
Personal life
He is married and the father of four children. He is a member of the National Resistance Movement nationalist Party.
Career
Mukula served as a personal pilot for President Yoweri Museveni in the 1980s. Mukula owned a fleet of Cessna aircraft that he leased out. In one of those planes, he personally piloted the president. In 2001, he entered politics, winning the Soroti Municipality parliamentary seat. He has been in his position since 2006 and 2011, and has been successfully guarding it in 2006 and 2011. He was appointed state minister for health in 2001 and served in that position until 2006. Museveni sacked him from his cabinet in the cabinet reshuffle of May 23, 2006.
Mukula declared in May 2015 that he would abandon democratic politics as of March 2016.
