Venezuelan migrant gang 'attack cops trying to stop them ransacking NYC Target,' with soft-touch judge subsequently ignoring prosecutor's pleas and freeing one without bail

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 9, 2024
Yusneiby Machado, 23, and Brayan Freites, 21, are among six migrants accused of trying to steal $82 worth of items at the Upper East Side store on April 2, as reported by the New York Post. The group allegedly took a gaming light, tools, a backpack and snacks including Doritos, Fruit Loops and water bottles. When police tried to stop the crew, Machado and Freitas reportedly wrestled and shoved officers in an attempt to resist arrest. A third suspect who has not been caught then allegedly tried to throw rocks at the officers but did not hit any. Cops told the Post an officer was left with 'swelling, redness and pain on his left arm.' The officer was reportedly taken to the hospital, treated and released. Machado and Freites are charged with robbery, assault, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, criminal possession of stolen property, disorderly conduct and harassment. But Machado was freed without bail by Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Jay Wiener, despite prosecutors' request that she be held on $10,000 bail.

EXCLUSIVE: Lauren Sanchez's brother Michael FAILS in bid to sue National Enquirer publisher for 'defaming' him with claim he leaked story of her affair with Jeff Bezos

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 4, 2023
Michael Sanchez, Jeff Bezos' fiancée Lauren's uncle, has failed in his effort to sue National Enquirer publisher American Media Inc and its former CEO David Pecker for 'defaming' him with the allegation that he leaked the details of his sister and the Amazon founder's affair. Judge Dolly M Gee has dismissed his complaint arguing that Sanchez was "the first and only source" of the tale, according to court records obtained solely by DailyMail.com and filed in the Central District of California on Friday. Neither Lauren, 53, nor Bezos, 59, were parties to Sanchez's lawsuit, but his case was based on the facts of their case four years ago. Sanchez was attempting to depose both in what Lauren described as a "psychologically destructive" attempt to pressure the power couple "in the hopes that she would pay him to leave," the power couple's said earlier this year.'

A judge has ruled Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos won't be convicted in her brother's defamation lawsuit

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 10, 2023
A federal judge ruled this week that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez can disregard subpoenas from her brother Michael. Michael Sanchez, a Hollywood agent, was attempting to depose the couple and seize papers from them in the hopes of proving that he was not the only source for the National Enquirer's story, which revealed their steamy affair. The bid was part of Michael's defamation action against American Media Inc, the publisher of the tabloid magazine, who has been accused of incorrectly portraying him as the sole leaker of the affair, despite the fact that he owes $200,000. On Monday, US Magistrate Judge Pedro Castillo slapped down Michael's subpoenas to his sister and her mother, calling it "little more than a fishing expedition." Michael is now in a difficult situation following partial or complete failures in several other litigation involving the affair affair, costing hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees.
