Career
Sykes first came to public attention in the mid-1990s as the face of Boddingtons Bitter advertisements.
In the mid-90s, Sykes' television appearance career began by hosting Sky One's Real TV UK series. Sykes has followed her television career, including stints on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! Also as the host of EastEnders Revealed. Melanie Sykes' Southall Stories, a BBC Two documentary about Asian culture in the United Kingdom, was released in 1999.
