He is best known for his appearance in On Your Feet, a Broadway musical. (Touring production) Mexican telenovelas and films.

Personal life

Mauricio was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2010 and has had three recurrences before 2018. In 2014, the actor revealed to be gay and was married to Mexican publicist Emilio Sols from 2013 to their divorce in 2015. He currently lives in New York City.
