Mauricio Islas (born Juan Mauricio Islas Ilescas, August 16, 1973) is a Mexican actor.
He is best known for his work in telenovelas, including Televisa, TV Azteca, and currently in Telemundo, as well as other Venevision telenovelas.

Early life
Islas, a native of Mexico City, Mexico, is the son of businessman Juan Islas and Rosalinda Ilescas, and the youngest of two brothers.
Islas made his protagonist debut in Preciosa in 1998 after being involved in various telenovelas.
He continued to work as a leading actor, but occasionally as villains, as in his 2000 debut in Primer amor... a mil por hora where he portrayed the dangerous Demián and as the evil Fernando Leyra.
