EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Hanbury's fury at flight fiasco at Stansted

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 16, 2023
DEN CONFIDENTIAL: Tim Hanbury, Cholmondeley's father, has suffered the shame of having gates closed to him at the airport. The web designer, who is 70, is said to have arrived at Stansted Airport in Essex over the weekend to board a Ryanair flight for a few days at a friend's home abroad. And though his passport did not expire for another nine months, staff at the low-cost airline's check-in counter refused to allow him to board the plane. One of his friends tells me, 'Tim was really upset and chastised.' Because he didn't have the weekend away that he was looking forward to, he was irritable about Ryanair.' Hanbury seems not to have known that British passports are no longer than ten years old when used to travel to the European Union, which means travelers must check the passport date rather than the date it expires.

KATHRYN FLETT's My TV Week: Manhunt?More like a flat-footed plod-a-thon

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 21, 2023
Kathryn Flett, a British writer, is currently reading The Hunt for Raoul Moat on ITVX, a true-life drama. Sally Messham and right: Matt Stokoe as Raoul Moat. Deborah James is also a writer for iPlayer. And what to make of the latest twist in the final series of HBO's Succession?

The Hunt for Raoul Moat viewers slam 'shocking and awful' accents and 'epic casting failure'

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 17, 2023
Raoul Moat managed to escape the police for days after killing one individual and injuring two others in a two-day shooting spree by camping out in the Northumbrian countryside. The seven-day hunt for the gunman in July 2010 - which was the largest manhunt in modern British history and made news around the world - is the focus of the ITV crime drama. However, viewers were left disappointed by the film, with some reporting that Matt Stokoe, the series's crazed gun killer, looks nothing like Moat. Despite three of the actors hailing from the North East, some thought the actors' Newcastle accents were 'awful' and joked that the 'rushed' programme must have had a small budget of less than £40.

CHRISTOPHER STEVENS reviews The Hunt For Raoul Moat

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 16, 2023
CHRISTOPHER STEVENS: This three-part true crime drama had already gained a notorious celebrity. Raoul Moat, the shotgun killer, had a traumatic reputation even before the trailers were shown. Moat, a wife-beater and child killer who also suffered life-changing injuries on his ex-girlfriend and a policeman picked randomly, was a sub-human piece of scum. His name would be erased from the record, a posthumous cancellation, if there was any justice. Rather, as The Hunt For Raoul Moat (ITV) shrewdly acknowledges, he rose to fame as an anti-hero who was praised by some on the internet as a modern-day outlaw. On social media, more than a decade ago, it's likely that you'll see him as the forerunner of macho 'influencers' who talk about treating women as possessions and sex objects.

The manhunt is Britain's biggest manhunt

Raoul Moat, the ex-convict who had seriously wounded her new boyfriend and blinded a police officer with shotgun blasts, was on the run and hid out in the wilds of Northumberland, where he piqued the mysterious attention of football legend Paul Gascoigne. This week, the Hunt For Raoul Moat, right, with Bodyguard's Matt Stokoe as the killer and right, delves into the tale.

Raoul Moat's daughter says new ITV drama about crazed gun killer will 'bring the horror back'

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 9, 2023
Ms Fitzpatrick will relive the horror of summer 2010, in which Moat shot three people in the hunt for police officers in the ITV three-parter. Ms Fitzpatrick has claimed that the manhunt surrounding her father resulted in her being "obnoxious" that she is reluctant to send her own children to school. In an interview with The Sun ahead of The Hunt For Raoul Moat's airing next Sunday, she revealed how she was ashamed to have to tell Moat her father.

Sophie Rundle's second bundle of joy? As she produces a new drama, she says this 'pregnancy' is just for television

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 9, 2023
Two years after the arrival of her Easter baby, could Sophie be expecting another 'Rundle of joy'? On set, the Peaky Blinders actress was seen sporting a massive bump; this time it is a prosthetic for her newest role. In the ITV thriller After The Flood, the 34-year-old leads, in which the discovery of a man's body after a natural disaster is not all it seems. And, in a case of life imitated art, Matt Stokoe, 34, co-stars as her husband. On location in Glossop, Derbyshire, an onlooker said, 'It's a beautiful part of the world, but there was so much rain that they had to take a break in filming on occasion.'

The ITV Raul Moat drama cut Paul Gascoigne's storyline due to fears that the murderer's story would be "trivialized."

Matt Stokoe will play legendary gunman Raoul Moat (left), who shot and injured his ex-girlfriend Sam Stobbart, then 22, before fatally shooting her partner Chris Brown, 29, in July 2010, just 48 hours after he was released from jail. He fired and blinded PC David Rathband after creeping up on him while seated in his car at a roundabout. He took his own life 19 months after. Before Moat was arrested on a riverbank in Rothbury, Northumberland, a seven-day manhunt took place (pictured inset is the scene of the arrest). After a six-hour stand-off, during which Gascoigne (right) tried to reach out to save him, he fired himself with a sawn off shotgun.
