After being hit hard by Minnesota's Matt Dumba, Dallas Stars forward Joe Pavelski leaves the game

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 18, 2023
After taking a long replay review by officials Monday night, Dallas center Joe Pavelski suffered in the Stars' loss in their playoff opener after taking a big blow from Minnesota defenseman Matt Dumba, who wasn't assessed a major penalty for it. Dumba was suspended for two minutes for roughing, but the referees had inadvertently announced a five-minute major penalty late in the game's second period, when the Wild won 3-2 in double overtime. 'I thought it was a clean hit to be honest.' I expected (the refs) that they would all be the same. According to Dumba, shoulder should be on the shoulder.' I don't even know why I was hurt, presumably because I was still in the box.'
