Martin Leyland Roberts (born 20 July 1963) is an English television presenter and entrepreneur who appears on the BBC One property auction series Homes Under the Hammer co-presenters Martel Maxwell (since 2016) and Dion Dublin, although his co-presenter for many years was Lucy Alexander.
He also hosts 'Home Rule with Martin Roberts,' a talk radio show where he also talks about property.

Roberts has lived in Paulton, Somerset, for many years, and is married with two children. He began his village's annual "Party in the Park" in 2017.
Early life and career
Roberts was born in Warrington, Cheshire, and grew up in Stockton Heath, a suburb of Warrington. At BBC Radio Manchester in the late 1980s, Roberts began his career in the late 1980s. Roberts' grandfather was a well-known organist at various Warrington chapels.
He attended Appleton Hall Grammar School before going to Electronic Engineering at the University of Bradford, 1983-86, where he was a DJ on Ramair, the university's radio station. Roberts has been working as a property developer since the early 1990s and has contributed to several publications, both on the topic of property improvement and travel.
Since then, he has appeared on numerous other shows, including Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is and How to Avoid the Property Crisis, both for the BBC and ITV's travel show Wish You Were Here. Roberts is most well-known for his work as BBC's Overseas Property expert and presenting Homes Under the Hammer since the program's inception in 2003 to the present day, as well as making regular appearances on BBC Breakfast, BBC News 24, and The One Show.
Roberts also appeared on Ready Steady Cook with Homes Under the Hammer co-presenter Lucy Alexander. He has appeared on BBC gameshows Hole in the Wall and Pointless, raising funds for charity. Roberts began on the BBC television show Celebrity MasterChef in July 2010, but he was turned down at the first attempt despite having done well on the ingredient recognition task. Get Me Out of Here, Roberts, a contestant on I'm a Celebrity, in November 2016. After 15 days in camp, he was booted out in sixth place, ending in eighth place.
Roberts has worked on radio throughout his career as the BBC's UK and Overseas Property expert, appearing on numerous programmes on BBC radios 2, 4, and 5 Live. He appears on BBC Radio 2 and Moneybox, a regular guest presenter on The Jeremy Vine Show, which airs on BBC Radio 2 and Moneybox. In March 2016, Roberts began hosting "Gazumped," a weekly property radio show on Talk Radio (Saturday 11 – 1 p.m. and Sunday 5 – 7 p.m.). The show was later renamed "Home Rule" and Sunday editions were no longer available, but they were still broadcast from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
Roberts slammed proposed government changes to England's planning regulations in September 2012, which would double the number of extensions that do not require authorization.
Roberts has written several books, including Teach Yourself Making Money from Property and The Property Auction Guide, as well as presenting on both radio and television.
Roberts has written several travel books, including Great Festivals of the World, The Traveller's Handbook, and Intrepid Africa. Roberts is the author of The Villes Children's Books collection. Sadsville, one of the books in the series, was written in collaboration with the NSPCC to remind children that if they want to talk to someone about any problems, they should call ChildLine, but it is unrelated to mental health.
