Eric Bolling Life

Eric Thomas Bolling (born March 2, 1963) is an American television personality, conservative political commentator, and financial analyst.

He has worked as a commentator on television finance issues, most notably for Fox News.

In 2013, Bolling took over as the host of the Fox Business Channel news program Cashin'.

From the start of Fox News Channel's The Five, he co-hosted until being asked to co-host Fox News Specialists in May 2017.

Bolling's first book, Wake Up America, became a New York Times best seller in 2016.

He wrote another book in 2017, The Swamp: Washington's Murky Pool of Corruption and Cronyism, and How Trump Can Drain It. Bolling had sent unsolicited lewd photographs and text messages to three female coworkers many years ago, according to HuffPost on August 5, 2017.

Fox News launched an independent probe into Bolling, and the network announced publicly that it had mutually agreed to parting with Bolling the following month.

Bolling's resignation was described as a firing by several outlets, but the charges were never established.

He currently hosts TheBlaze's television show America.

Early life

Bolling was born in Chicago and attended grade school at Queen of All Saints Basilica school and high school at Loyola Academy. He graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, with a bachelor's degree in economics in 1984. Bolling played baseball while at Rollins. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1984. His baseball career was cut short due to a torn rotator cuff injury.

Eric Bolling Career

Wall Street career

Bolling, a commodities trader on Wall Street, was a commodities trader. He served as a board member of the New York Mercantile Exchange for five years, before becoming a strategic advisor to the exchange.

Career as political commentator

Bolling was one of several analysts selected as a panelist on CNBC's Fast Money.

Bolling joined Fox Business Network in March 2008 as a financial analyst. Bolling was named a co-host (joining Cody Willard and Rebecca Diamond) of Happy Hour, a business commentary show on television in the 5 p.m. time slot in 2008. Eric Bolling, the host of Fox Business Channel's Follow the Money, became the channel's Cashin' in 2013, after replacing Cheryl Casone. On Saturdays, the service was on sale. Bolling appeared on Fox News Channel's The Five co-hosted.

Bolling sluggishly criticized President Barack Obama's decision to speak with Gabon's president, Ali Bongo Ondimba, in the White House in June 2011. "Guess who's coming to dinner?" Bolling remarked. A tyrant. He went on to condemn Obama for allowing rapper Common to appear in the White House a few weeks earlier, saying "it's not the first time he's had a hoodlum in the hizzouse." Bolling was chastised by a Progressive party, who added: "Calling the president of Gabon and Common 'hoods in the hizzy' is not vibrant commentary; it is overt bigotry." Bolling first defended himself on Twitter before later apologizing, saying, "We have a little fast and loose with the word, and we know it has been misinterpreted as disrespectful, and for this, I'm sorry." Bolling's on-air promotion of citizenship conspiracy theories about Barack Obama ("birtherism") and conspiratorial theories about his assassination of our children, as well as his assertion that "liberal Hollywood" in a Muppets film "to brainwash our children" in 2011 and "every Muslim on American soil has been a Muslim."

Bolling and Roger Ailes saved his life after doing the Heimlich maneuver at a restaurant, according to Bob Beckel.

Bolling appeared on several Fox News opinion shows, including The O'Reilly Factor and Fox and Friends, while at Fox.

Fox announced in April that the Five will be moved to the 9 p.m. time slot as part of Bill O'Reilly's departure. Fox News Specialists was created to replace The Five in the 5 p.m. time slot, with Bolling as a co-host alongside Katherine Timpf and Eboni Williams. Bolling's premiere occurred on May 1, 2017 but it was cancelled when Bolling departed the show.

Bolling's remarks are described as "really right-wing, hard-core conservative commentaries," and he has said, "I think this is what my brand personally is all about." Bolling has been an outspoken and long-time Trump supporter, who has spoken out in favour of him since the start of his presidential campaign in 2015. Bolling and Trump first met on the set of The Apprentice about ten years before Trump's 2016 presidential bid; the two were introduced by Mark Burnett, a mutual acquaintance, and went on to establish close links. Bolling was considered by Trump for an appointment in the United States Department of Commerce in November 2016, but before his inauguration, Bolling described himself as "fortunate enough to have a close connection with the new administration." Bolling's promotion to host his own show on Fox News, which began in May 2017, was seen as a victory for the Trump White House. Bolling interviewed Trump more than six times over his presidency.

Bolling was accused of sending unsolicited text messages and lewd photos to three female colleagues at Fox News or Fox Business Network on August 4, 2017. HuffPost reported on August 4, 2017. He has also been accused of making "inappropriate" remarks to female employees. Caroline Heldman, a former Fox News reporter, argued that Bolling made numerous inappropriate sexual advances toward her after the article was published.

Bolling denied the charges against him. Bolling was suspended from Fox News until an investigation was conducted, which the network hired law firm Paul Weiss to conduct the investigation the day after the article was published. Bolling served a summons and "notice of an intention to bring a defamation case" in New York state court for $50 million against freelance writer Yashar Ali, who wrote the article for HuffPo. Bolling's summons did not specify that the defamatory accusations he made, and he did not bring a valid lawsuit against Ali. Ali and HuffPo stood by the truth of the story; Bolling's counsel wrote a letter to Bolling's counsel, stating that "Mr. Ali launched an extensive probe and found his details with 14 credible sources"; "truth is always a defense to defamation."

Bolling was ejected from Fox News on September 8, 2017, the same day as his son's death. "Eric Bolling and Fox have agreed to part ways amicably," the network said in a tweet. Fox News Specialists was canceled by the network as a result of his departure.

Bolling appeared on CRTV in the summer of 2018. In 2018, CRTV and TheBlaze joined Blaze Media to form Blaze Media; in December 2018, Bolling decided not to remain with Blaze Media until 2021. Bolling appeared on TheBlaze as the host of America's television show America.

Bolling's this Week, which is produced by Sinclair Broadcast Group and carried by their stations as a Sunday morning talk show, began in 2019. Bolling continued to campaign for Donald Trump's campaign to denigrate voting by mail and baseless claims that mail-in votes was susceptible to fraud.

Bolling conducted an interview for America This Week with Judy Mikovits, a discredited scholar who was included in the film Plandemic. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the US government's chief infectious disease scientist, "manufactured" COVID-19 in the video. Bolling also interviewed Mikovits' counsel, right-wing conspiracy theorist Larry Klayman, in the segment. Bolling made no attempt during the interviews to criticize Mikovits or Klayman's assertions. Sinclair postponed the segment to "rework" it after it was announced on local Sinclair stations around the United States, sparking a backlash. Sinclair dropped the segment completely two days later. Bolling said he did not accept Mikovits' allegations. Sinclair announced the cancellation of the show in January 2021.

Bolling co-hosted a podcast co-hosted with former football player Brett Favre after his Sinclair program was suspended.

Bolling mulled seeking a Republican in the United States Senate after his deal with Fox came to an end in June 2017, and Bolling opined that some Republicans were insufficiently right-wing. Bolling considered a bid for Congress in 2022, whether to Senator Tom Rice (who voted against him in the 2021 United States Capitol attack) or Representative Nancy Mace.

She is the current favorite contender of the billionaire class in Washington, D.C.; not different from academia and Harvard.'
