Anne Frank, a holocaust diarist, is known for her sister. Margrot also kept a journal of her experiences, but no trace was ever found, according to Anne's comments. On October 30th, 1944, she and her sister were taken to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.

Before Fame

She attended Ludwig-Richter School in Frankfurt, Germany. Adolf Hitler's ascension to office in 1933, she and her family immigrated to The Netherlands. She took Hebrew classes, attended synagogue, and joined the Dutch Zionist club for young people, seeking to escape oppression.

Trivia

Several authors have published fan-based and interpretive editions of her missing diary. Letters of correspondence between her and her sister Anne were published in 2003.

Otto Frank and Edith Frank, her parents, were born and raised in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
