Jermaine Anthony Preyan (born July 28, 1982), better known by his stage name Mack Maine, is an American rapper and songwriter from New Orleans, Louisiana.
Mack Maine was formerly a founder and president of Young Money Entertainment, which was once an imprint of Birdman's Cash Money Records.
He is the co-founder of Kush Entertainment and has also founded Soothe Your Soul Records, which is also a record label.

Early life and career
Jermaine Preyan was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. At the age of 11, Dwayne Carter aka Lil Wayne formed a close friendship. Lil Wayne and rapper Curren$y and Cortez Bryant attended Eleanor McMain Secondary School, alongside Lil Wayne and Cortez Bryant. He came 16th out of a thousand competitors in a freestyle competition hosted by MTV in 2003; this, as well as a backstage appearance at the 2004 BET Awards with Cassidy, led him to his debut as a founding member of Young Money Entertainment with Lil Wayne. Mack Maine appeared on the official remix of Lil Wayne's third single, "Got Money," in 2008, and performed the song with Wayne on Saturday Night Live on September 14. He received the "Patiently Waiting: Louisiana" award at the 2008 Ozone Awards.
He appeared on Lil Wayne's "I Am Music" tour in 2009, as well as the mtvU's Spring Break 2009 concert. Don Cannon's mixtape This Is Just a Mixtape also featured appearances from Lil Wayne, Mistah Fab, Gorilla Zoe, Pleasure P, Mystikal, and Soulja Slim.
