Luca Badoer Life

Luca Badoer (born 25 January 1971) is an Italian former racing driver.

Badoer has competed for the Scuderia Italia, Minardi, Forti Corse, and, most recently, Ferrari teams.

Badoer, a former racer who served in 1998-2010 and 2009, served as an observer and reserve driver for Ferrari's regular race driver Felipe Massa during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix and the Belgian Grand Prix, but his replacement, Michael Schumacher, was forced to withdraw due to injury. Badoer holds the most Grand Prix starts (50) and the most race laps completed (2364) without scoring a single point, though most of his races prior to his 2009 comeback came during a period in which only the top six finishers earned points.

He would have scored 26 points in his career if he had been under the 2010 scoring system.

He nearly made it to fourth place in the 1999 European Grand Prix thanks to a strong push, but his Minardi's gearbox suffered with 13 laps remaining.

Personal life

Badoer is married and has two children, Rocco and Brando. Brando debuted in the WSK karting series in 2017.
