Lisa Ann Walter (born August 3, 1963) is an American actress, comedian, writer and film producer.
She has appeared in such films as the 1998 version of The Parent Trap, Bruce Almighty, Shall We Dance, and War of the Worlds.
Walter also created and starred in the short-lived 1996–1997 sitcom, Life's Work.
She was a judge on ABC's reality television series The Next Best Thing: Who Is the Greatest Celebrity Impersonator?.

Early life
Walter was born on August 3, 1963, in Silver Spring, Maryland. She and her older sister, Laura, are the children of a geophysicist father who was British but was born in France, and a substitute-teacher mother who was born in Sicily. The family lived in different places following their father's work, and their childhood homes included Germany and the suburbs of Washington, D.C. She is of German, British and Italian ancestry. She graduated with a theater degree from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., in 1983.
Career
Walter was selected to star in My Wildest Dreams, a Fox Network comedy series that she created and appeared in, as well as an ABC sitcom Life's Work. Walter also appeared in the Bravo series Breaking News and Emeril on NBC.
Walter co-starred in the Disney film The Parent Trap (1998) as Chessy, the nanny to Dennis Quaid's daughter, who was played by a young Lindsay Lohan, in addition to Bruce Almighty (2003) and Shall We Dance (2004). She appeared in Eddie (1996), prior to that, as Whoopi Goldberg's tarty sidekick Claudine.
Walter played Mabel the bartender in the MyNetworkTV soap opera Watch Over Me from early 2007. Later this May, she appeared as a judge on ABC's The Next Best Thing, which searched for the best celebrity impersonators in America. Walter participated in the comedy film Drillbit Taylor in early 2008 and appeared on the VH1 reality series Celebracadabra, in which celebrities competed to see who was the best magician among them. She made it to the final three but was disqualified in the sixth episode. Dance Your Ass Off is her own Oxygen network series. J.J. appeared on Rizzoli & Isles as a ballet coach on December 19, 2011. It was much different from her usual role in a drama, as she played a more serious person in a drama.
