Early life and education
Lin Yi was born in Hebei Province and grew up in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. He was accepted into Beijing Sport University's National Ballroom Dance major in 2015 and finished with the highest ranking in the united examination of dance majors in Liaoning Province.
Career
Lin was in the first year of the agent's search and signing with Tangren Media Co. Ltd. in 2015. During the summer vacation, he went to Italy to receive advanced dance and performance instruction. He appeared on "Hello, Old Times" as a student film actor in 2017 and auditioned for leading actor Lin Yang, but was ultimately unsuccessful.
On May 14, 2017, he appeared as a cast member in the Youku idol reality show Handsome Youth Society. Lin Yi's participation in the "Beautiful Boys Academy" program in June 2017 was phenominious.
