Mateus Cole Ward (born January 18, 1999) is an American actor.

He is best known for his appearances in Chest's CBS television series Hostages and as Dustin Maker in the TNT television series Murder in the First.

In addition to his role as the older Stevie Botwin in the showtime comedy-drama series Weeds and his recurring role as Marcus Davenport on the Disney XD fantasy series Lab Rats, he is also known for his role as Marcus Davenport.

Personal life

Ward was born in Burbank, California, the son of an Italian immigrant mother and American father of English, Norwegian, Danish, and Scots-Irish descent. His family moved to Lahaina, Hawaii, where he lived for five years, and then returned to Los Angeles in 2009. Adiana, Mateus' younger sister.

Career

Mateus made his television debut in 2010, when he appeared on Criminal Minds as Lyle DeLilly. In the 20th Century Fox sitcom pilot Outnumbered with Cheech Marin, Ward caught director Larry Charles' eye and was cast as a series regular, the son of Ana Ortiz.

Ward was invited to act on Norm Macdonald's Comedy Central in 2011 to honor Young Artist Award, Outstanding Actor, and the 12- to 18-year old category. Ward went on to land the role of Carl in the comedy-drama Parenthood.

Mateus became a regular guest star on Disney XD's teen sitcom Lab Rats in April 2012. In his first film Lonely Boy, in which he portrays a teen with schizophrenia, he was given the role of young Franky. He appeared in the two-part series finale of the comedy-drama Weeds, which aired on Showtime in September. Ward received a Young Artist Award for his portrayal of Stevie Botwin.

Ward appeared in the CBS thriller series NCIS. Ward appeared in Shabbot Shalom, the eleventh episode, a teen who discovers a dead body. Mateus appeared in the Jerry Bruckheimer television series Hostages produced by Warner Bros. Television for CBS, portraying Jake Sanders, the uncle of Dr. Ellen Sanders, portrayed by Toni Collette and Brian Sanders, portrayed by Tate Donovan. Ward appeared as Dustin Maker on Steven Bochco and Eric Lodal's Murder in the First with Taye Diggs and Kathleen Robertson on TNT in 2015.

Ward continued to act as Clyde Thompson in the film The Meanest Man in Texas, a theatrical adaptation of the novel. Levi, a producer, appears in the film Relish - He is a producer and plays Levi.
