Early life

Gazzy Garca was born in Miami, Florida, on August 17, 2000. Garca said in a 2018 interview with J. Cole that his parents are Colombian and divorced when he was six years old.

When Garca was thirteen years old, his cousin, Lil Ominous, introduced him to Omar Pineiro, also known as Smokepurpp; the two became friends. Multiple district schools had barred Garca and Pineiro from attending multiple districts. Garca was accepted into an opportunity high school, but she was barred in the tenth grade for protesting and sparking a protest.

Personal life

Garca has stated on social media and in lyrics that he has a hard time reading due to dyslexia.

Garca announced on his Instagram page that his father died on April 8, 2022.

Garca supported President Donald Trump's campaign in the 2020 United States presidential election on October 26, 2020, citing Joe Biden's tax policy as his reason. Pump has made posts on social media promoting the Trump campaign's Make America Great Again baseball cap. Pump was brought out to speak at his Michigan rally on November 2, incorrectly naming him "Little Pimp." Despite this endorsement, it was later revealed that Garca was not a registered voter. Since it went viral on Twitter, Garca deleted a tweet he wrote in 2016 saying "FUCK DONALD TRUMP."

Lil Pump Career

Career

Garca's rap career began when Smokepurpp dropped a track and asked him to freestyle over it. "Lil Pump," the single's debut single, was released on SoundCloud in 2016 as his debut single. Garcia hopped straight after the song with singles "Elementary," "Ignorant," "Gang Shit," and "Drum$tick," each grossing over three million streams. His success on SoundCloud earned him a spot in South Florida's underground rap scene, in a fashion known as "SoundCloud rap." He co-headed the No Jumper tour in 2016 and appeared at the Rolling Loud Festival.

Garc began receiving media attention in 2017 by releasing the singles "D Rose" and "Boss," which were big hits on SoundCloud, bringing in a total 70 million streams. Cole Bennett, a Chicago-based director, also known as Lyrical Lemonade, was influenced by the success of "D Rose." Garcia signed a record deal with Tha Lights Global and Warner Records on June 9, 2017, just two months before his seventeenth birthday. However, his Warner Bros. Records deal was void in January 2018 because he was a juvenile at the time of signing.

Garca announced on Twitter in July 2017 that his debut album was in the works and would be announced in August. Despite the fact that the album was not released in August, it was delayed and he instead released "Gucci Gang," his first Billboard Hot 100 entry, peaking at number three on November 8, 2017. The song was released gold and platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America on January 11, 2018, and it has been designated triple platinum as of July 31, 2018.

Garca's debut commercial studio album, Lil Pump, featured Smokepurpp, Gucci Mane, Lil Yachty, Chief Keef, Rick Ross, and 2 Chainz on October 6, 2017.

Garca's "I Shyne" was released on January 18, 2018, starring producer Carnage. Following claims that he had left his old labels Tha Lights Lobal and Warner Records, and that the deal had been terminated on the grounds of him being a juvenile when he signed, interest in him has increased, with trade reportedly increasing to $3 million to $12 million or more, with singers like Gucci Mane and DJ Khaled showing an interest in him. Garca sparked rumors that he had signed with Gucci Mane's imprint, 1017 Records, in February 2018. Despite this, he has re-signed another deal with Tha Lights Global and Warner Records worth $8 million on March 12.

Garca introduced the single "Esskeetit," which debuted and peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 on April 13, 2018. Garca performed "Esskeetit" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 24, 2018. In July that year, he released the single "Drug Addicts" as part of a music video starring actor Charlie Sheen.

Garca performed on "I Love It" with Kanye West and comedian Adele Givens on September 7, 2018. The track climbed to number 1 on the Canadian Hot 100 in a straight row.

Garc announced in August 2018 a tour to promote his second album Harverd Dropout, but it was postponed due to "unforeseen circumstances." Lil Uzi Vert appeared in "Multi Millionaire" on October 5 as a single. Skrillex's "Arms Around You," a dubstep producer's collaboration with Garca, Maluma, Swae Lee, and posthumous vocals from XXTentacion, was released on October 25.

After looking at a snippet of his latest song "Butterfly Doors" on December 16, 2018, Garc was accused of racial toward Asians; the lyrics contained Asian stereotypes and slurs, including "Ching chong" and "They call me Yao Ming cause my eyes real low"; Garc's lyric β€” which mocks Garc's ostensibly pulling his eyes back; Garc is accused of raped This resulted in a lot of negative press coverage and prompted Chinese rappers to abandon diss track against him. He posted an apology video on Instagram relating to the incident on December 24, then posted the single with the offensive lyrics edited out.

Garca released the song "Be Like Me" starring Lil Wayne on February 21, 2019. Both of the artists were also featured in a music video. On Jimmy Kimmel Live, he performed "Be Like Me"! On February 25, the first tennant died. Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Offset, Quavo, Smokepurpp, Lil Uzi Vert, 2 Chainz, and YG released his second studio album Harverd Dropout on February 22, featuring Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Offset, Quavo, Smokepurpp, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Uzi Vert, and YG.

Garca said on his Instagram post on February 13, 2020, "I'm done doing music, I've resigned." On the other hand, he said, "Yall Thought I Quit Bitch Im Back" and preview a new song on the internet a few days later. Lil Pump 2 was also announced as the name of his forthcoming album.

Garca's SoundCloud account revealed a new single "Life Like Me" on September 16, 2020. The album was first seen in 2018. Garc's "Lil Pimp Big MAGA Steppin" and "I'monna" were among the SoundCloud exclusives released later this year.

Garca began working with the NFT company Sweet in March 2021 to produce a limited NFT line that includes digital jewelry and Lil Pump trading cards.

"Racks to the Ceiling," a Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, was announced on August 12, 2021. Garca and Ronny J's Silencing released a new album titled No Name on December 14, 2021. Unlike Garica's previous release, Harverd Dropout, the latest album was never discussed on social media, causing it to be a commercial failure.
