Early life
Tweeden was born in Manassas, Virginia, to Bill Tweeden, a former Air Force Chief Mechanic and his wife Catherine. On her mother's side, she is of Filipino descent. Tweeden moved to Hollywood after graduating from Osbourn Park High School in 1991 to pursue a career in modeling.
Personal life
During a USO tour, Tweeden met Chris Dougherty, a pilot for the California Air National Guard, with her husband. In 2010, the two were married. They have two children, son Kane, and daughter Kaia.
She considers herself fiscally conservative and has stated that she voted twice for President George W. Bush.

Career
She earned first place in the Venus International Model Search in 1992 while working as a hostess at a Hooters restaurant in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This break culminated in national exposure, as well as a regular appearance on the television show Fitness Beach as a fitness model. Tweeden modeled for promotional work for Hooters (which included an appearance in the restaurant's 1994 calendar), Venus International, and Frederick's of Hollywood. Tweeden appeared on many episodes of Fox Sports Net's show, Bluetorch TV, in the early 2000s. From 2001 to 2007, Tweeden served as a reporter for Fox Sports Networks' The Best Damn Sports Show Period (2001 to 2007). Tweeden became the third hostess of the NBC late night television show Poker After Dark in 2008. In 2011, and 2012, she appeared on national debate show Hannity. She was a member of the "Great American Panel" and also appeared on the Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld panel occasionally. On Fox Sports West and Fox Sports 1's UFC Tonight, Tweeden was seen in pre- and post-game coverage of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. With Kenny Florian and Ariel Helwani, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim was seen in pre- and post-game coverage.
