Personal life
Watson is a lesbian. In March 2008, she was featured in an issue of Cherrie magazine. Watson told Katrina Fox, "I've never made a point of allowing people to know about my sexuality because I've never thought it was important, but it's who I am and I'm not ashamed of it." However, I think it's much simpler to be identified as a not-so-straight woman, particularly with the L Word series out where it's glamorized; it's almost a fad like we're in style."
Career
Watson, a teen model, travelled to Asia for many years.
Watson was selected for Home and Away in February 1999. However, she decided not to attend the audition because she didn't feel she had a chance of winning the role. Her agent begged her to change her mind, but Shauna Bradley arrived to fulfill her role. It was her first acting role, and she revealed, "I was going to do something?" Never done anything before, and I've never participated in my life.' My agent booked me into acting lessons, although I believe I was just eight weeks before I started, so I was extremely worried. To be honest, I think I was awful right from the start. But, as with everything else, you invest the time to develop and educate yourself, which I did not do."
Watson earned a diploma in interior design after leaving Home and Away in 2002. KW Design is her own company that started with her mother.
Watson appeared in Lightswitch, Emma Keltie's short film directed and written by Natalie Krikowa and Penny Glasswell in 2009. Various LGBT festivals were screening the film.
