Kendall Christopher Fuller (born February 13, 1995) is a National Football League quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. (NFL) is a national football league affiliate.

In the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Fuller played his college football at Virginia Tech and was drafted by the Washington Redskins.

Early years

Fuller attended Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland, where he played football and ran track. He competed with Blake Countess and Stefon Diggs on the football team. After he completed 44 receptions for 695 yards and seven touchdowns on offense and three on defense, he was named All-American Defense Player of the Year and the Maryland Gatorade Football Player of the Year, with three interceptions, eight pass breakups, and 28 tackles (including a sack) on defense, he was the All-American Defensive Player of the Year and the Maryland Gatorade Football Player of the Year.

Fuller competed in hurdles and leaps, achieving personal records of 17.94 seconds in the 110m hurdles, 47.81s in the long jump, 6.48 meters (4.3 inches) in the triple jump and 13.71 meters (45 feet) in track & field.

Fuller was ranked as the second best cornerback and ninth best player overall in his class by Rivals.com. He pledged to Virginia Tech in July 2012 to play college football over competition from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Michigan, Ohio State, Ole Miss, and South Carolina, among others.

College career

Fuller started 12 of 13 games, totaling 58 tackles and six interceptions in 2013. He was named the ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year for his efforts. In 2014, he returned to fullback as a starter in his sophomore season. Fuller declared for the 2016 NFL Draft on December 15, 2015.

Professional career

The fuller attended the NFL Scouting Combine, but he was unable to complete any physical drills due to a torn meniscus injury suffered in the fall. Fuller was expected to be a first-round pick by NFL draft experts and scouts before his meniscus tear. DraftScout.com, the ninth best cornerback by NFL analyst Mike Mayock, ranked as the fifth best defensive back prospect in the draft, had fuller rated as the tenth best defensive back prospect by Sports Illustrated.

In the third round (84th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins selected Fuller. In 2016, Fuller was the 14th cornerback selected.

On June 2, 2016, the Washington Redskins signed Fuller to a four-year, $3.12 million deal with a signing bonus worth $718,424.

He competed against Quinton Dunbar, Greg Toler, and Dashaun Phillips, the third cornerback on the Redskins' depth chart during training camp. For the fifth time on the depth chart, head coach Jay Gruden named Fuller the fifth cornerback, behind Josh Norman, Bashaud Breeland, Quinton Dunbar, and Greg Toler.

He was inactive for the first three games (Weeks 1-3) and made his professional regular season debut in Week 4 after suffering injuries to Bashaud Breeland and Quinton Dunbar. During a 31–20 victory over the Cleveland Browns on October 2, 2016, Fuller made his debut and posted a season-high eight combined tackles. After Week 7, the fuller topped Greg Toler on the depth chart for their fourth cornerback. In the Redskins' 27-37 draw with the Cincinnati Bengals, he set a season-high of seven solo tackles. After struggling in Week 13, Greg Toler was promoted to the fifth cornerback on the depth chart. In 13 games and six starts, he had 42 combined tackles (32 solo) and two pass deflections in his rookie season in 2016.

Originally slated as the starting nickelback, the fuller was drawn into training camp, but rookies Fabian Moreau, Josh Holsey, and veteran Dashaun Phillips saw action. Fuller was the starting nickelback and the third cornerback on the depth chart to begin the regular season, behind starters Josh Norman and Bashaud Breeland.

Fuller made his first career interception off a pass by Derek Carr during a 27–10 victory over the Oakland Browners on September 24, 2017. In Week 6, he made a solo tackle, a season-high two pass deflections, and intercepted quarterback C. J. Beathard's pass in the final ten seconds of the Redskins' 26–24 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. In the final 1:16 of the Redskins' 20–10 victory over the New York Giants, Fuller deflected a pass and recorded another victory-sealing interception against Eli Manning on November 23, 2017. During a 20-15 victory over the Arizona Cardinals, he had season-high eight combined tackles and two pass deflections. He had 55 total tackles (43 solo), ten pass deflections, and four interceptions in 16 games and 16 starts on the 2017 season.

The Washington Redskins decided to trade Fuller and a third round pick (78th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft to the Kansas City Chiefs for quarterback Alex Smith on January 30, 2018. The transfer was officially concluded on March 14, the first day of the new league season.

Fuller became the No. 1 in the United States. Since Marcus Peters was traded to the Los Angeles Rams, there has been one cornerback on the Kansas City Chiefs' depth chart. To begin the regular season, head coach Andy Reid named Fuller and Steven Nelson.

Fuller underwent wrist surgery and was inactive for the Chiefs' Week 16 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on December 14, 2018. He had 82 combined tackles (64 solo), 12 pass deflections, and two interceptions in 15 games and 15 starts on the season.

Fuller made a pair of crucial plays late in the 4th quarter, including a vital pass deflection and an interception off a pass that was fired by Jimmy Garoppolo that helped the Chiefs win.

Fuller signed a four-year, $40 million contract with the Washington Commanders on March 23, 2020, despite the fact that the Redskins at the time. In a Week 4 game against the Baltimore Ravens, the fuller had two interceptions. He had 50 tackles and four interceptions on the season, leading to his season.

In Week 6, the fuller made his first interception of the 2021 season against Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Russell Wilson intercepted Russell Wilson on a two-point conversion attempt in Week 12 against the Seattle Seahawks, securing Washington's 17-15 victory.
