Keith Christopher Ingham (born 5 February 1942) is an English jazz pianist who has played in swing and Dixieland revivals.

Early life and education

Ingham was born in London on February 5th, 1942. In churches, his father played the organ. Ingham began playing the piano at the age of ten and was largely self-taught. "He first appeared in nightclubs in 1960-1962 while on government service in Hong Kong, detecting Chinese airfields during the Cold War, and later read languages, specializing in classical Chinese literature at Oxford University." He was married to jazz guitarist Susannah McCorkle.

Later life and career

In 1964, he had his first professional gigs. Over the next decade, he worked with Sandy Brown, Bruce Turner, and Wally Fawkes. In 1974, he competed with Bob Wilber and Bud Freeman, then migrated to New York City in 1978. He performed with Benny Goodman, the World's Greatest Jazz Band, and Susannah McCorkle in the 1980s. Maxine Sullivan, Marty Grosz, and Harry Allen all worked with him. Jump Records has released several albums of 1930s hits. He has worked with many bands, including the New York Nine and the Hot Cosmopolites.
