Ms Ashworth (left and right) accused her former partner Ben Alcott (inset), a television programmer based in Australia, of being "controlling, territorial, manipulative, and coercive," with his behavior growing over the years. According to the court, she alleged that he supervised her work and that he would be verbally and physically threatening toward her at any time during their marriage, even when she was pregnant. Ms Ashworth has also said that Alcott had installed spy software on her computer to track her movements, and that he was going to use' naked photographs he had of her.
