Patricia Silverton, a black-cab driver and Terry Silverton, was born in Waltham Abbey, Essex, England, the niece of Terry Silverton, a black-cab driver-turned-registered hypnotherapist, and Patricia Silverton. Claire and Amy, Silverton's two sisters, have joined her. Silverton competed at West Hatch High School in Chigwell, Essex, where she was the junior swimming champion. She also competed in the triathlon. She was a Girl Guide and received the Queen's Guide Award.
Silverton graduated from St. Cuthbert's Society, a Durham University College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, having previously studied Arabic and Middle Eastern history for a year.
Personal life
In 2010, Silverton married Mike Heron. Silverton gave birth to a baby girl on November 5th, 2011. After four failed cycles of IVF, her baby daughter was eventually born naturally. Silverton had been told she would not be able to get pregnant naturally after losing an ovary during an operation to remove a cyst at the age of 29.
Silverton announced on January 25, 2014, at the age of 43, that she was pregnant with her second child. "Mike and I are thrilled to announce that Clemency is going to be a major sister this summer," she posted on Twitter. On June 26, 2014, the couple's second child, a boy, was born.
