Early life
Carolina Giraldo Navarro was born in Medellin on February 14th, the youngest child of three children. She appeared on the Colombian version of The X Factor at age fourteen. She obtained her first recording deal with Flamingo Records (Colombia) & Diamond Music (Puerto Rico) a few years after her appearance on the show and chose "Karol G" as her artistic name.
