Career
Farruko began his career in 2009. Myspace is credited with helping him establish a fan base that would eventually lead to him becoming a well-known singer. Farruko appears on José Feliciano's Su hija me gusta, where a young man tells a father, I like your daughter. As his style evolved, he often directed his music to younger people and families. Puerto Rican radio stations embraced the internet hype and began to air Farruko to a larger audience, cementing his place in the Reggaeton scene.
In 2012, Farruko was nominated for the Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Music Album. Farruko's hit songs, "Passion Whine" and "6 AM," both with J Balvin, changed Farruko's career for the best, as the two albums reached positions 1 and 2, respectively, in the summer of 2014. For 26 weeks in a row, "Passion Whine" has ranked at No. 1 on the Top Latin Songs list, published by Monitor Latino. At the 15th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, Farruko received three nominations at Premios Juventud for Best Urban Fusion/Performance for "6 AM" and Best Urban Song.
