Karlos Vémola moved to England to work on bodybuilding.

In Tottenham, he was a bouncer. He worked in a bouncer in a nightclub, which is adjacent to Tottenham police Station.

He tried to participate in the Junior Division of the British Championship of Bodybuilding, but he came too late to participate in the Senior Division, which he ended up winning. He was unable to participate in the Junior division of the championship because of his success, so he did not qualify.

When working as a bouncer, he yelt two guys out of the nightclub that turned out to be MMA fighters. Alan Mortlock was invited by Alan Mortlock to fight in the Cage Fighters mixed martial arts group, which culminated in his defeat. Karlos Vémola started unofficial and underground combat at the age of 21. When he was weighing 255 lbs., Vémola made his professional MMA debut in 2008. He appeared in a multitude of street fights and underground combat events in the past.

Vémola captured his first seven professional fights, all via stoppages in England between the Cage Fighters Championships and Ultimate Challenge MMA groups. Karlos Vémola, the European Heavyweight Champion and World Heavyweight Champion, was the champion of the Cage Fighters Championship and World Heavyweight Champion.

He now trains with the London Shootfighters squad, as well as MMA legends Alex Reid, John Hathaway and Michael Page.

Karlos Vémola joined the UFC in April 2010. Against Jon Madsen, Vémola made his debut at UFC 116. He was disqualified by a unanimous vote in the fight.

Following his first career failure, Vémola made the decision to drop to the Light Heavyweight division. He faced Seth Petruzelli in the first round of UFC 122 on November 13, 2010, winning the fight via TKO for his first victory in the first round and becoming the first man to beat Petruzelli by strikes and also earning Knockout of the Night Honors.

On March 19, 2011, Vémola was supposed to face Brazilian Luiz Cane at UFC 128. Vémola was pushed out of the match due to a traumatic injury and was replaced by Eliot Marshall.

On August 14, 2011, Vémola was scheduled to face Stephan Bonnar at UFC on Versus 5. However, Bonnar was forced to pull out of the match due to an injury. Vémola was scheduled to face Mahmoud "Steel Man" Salama at UCMMA 38 on February 1, 2014. Salama, on the other hand, revealed that he was withdrawing from his war against Vémola and was replaced by Marvin Campbell. However, Campbell did not attend the official Weigh-In, and he weighed shortly before the event. This should be a light heavyweight match, but Campbell weighed 215 lb. Viémola defeated Campbell in the first round by submission.

Vémola, the former UCMMA champion, decided to fight in his homeland.

Karlos Vémola has signed a two-fight deal with the Czech MMA Association and one fight with Gladiator Championship Fighting. Michal Hamrmd, a Czech mixed martial artist, is one of GCF's founders.
