Early life
Karen Joy Morris, a Hong Kong woman, was born on June 2nd, 1970. She has mixed ancestry: her mother is half Chinese, quarter German, and quarter Persian, while her father is half Welsh and half Chinese, while her father is half Chinese. Alfred Morris, the first principal of King's College, Hong Kong, was her grandfather. She speaks English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Italian, German, and French.
From primary to secondary school in Hong Kong, Mok attended Diocesan Girls' School. When she was a student at F.4 she received the 1st Hong Kong Outstanding Students Award. She received a scholarship for the United World College of the Adriatic in Duino, Italy, where she graduated in 1989 with the International Baccalaureate. She later studied Italian literature at Royal Holloway, University of London.

Music career
When studying in London, Mok auditioned for the West End Musical Miss Saigon. She also produced music demo tapes with fellow students, which culminated in her first recording contract with Star Records. She decided to put her theatre dreams on hold, returning to Hong Kong and releasing Karen in 1993, her first Cantonese album. To Be's first Mandarin album To Be, she had her musical breakthrough in 1997. Ultimate (2018-2021): This tour started on June 23, 2018, with the performance in the Hong Kong Football Stadium in Shanghai, drawing more than 20,000 spectators and totaling 48 concerts in 40 cities in Asia, Europe, and Australia. The tour was largely conducted in outdoor stadiums, with a maximum attendance of 40,000 in Beijing Workers' Stadium on September 22nd, 2019. She appeared in Lhasa (Tibet) on October 12th, setting the Guinness World Record for the Highest Altitude Mass-Attended Music Concert and being the first solo stadium concert in Tibet. The Taipei Arena (Taipei), which took place on 07 and 08 December 2019, had the unique feature that she performed entirely different song lists on each night. In London, she and her first Chinese pop singer to perform in this venue made it to the Folies Bergère and in Paris. Mok was on the 25th anniversary of show business with the Ultimate tour. The tour concluded with three concerts in Hong Kong in June 2021, which was interrupted by the worldwide Covid pandemic.
Mok revealed in May 2019 that this would be her last major concert tour tour as she shifts her attention to other artistic pursuits going forward.

In the film The Legend of Canton, Mok made her film debut in 1993. In 1995, she appeared alongside Stephen Chow in A Chinese Odyssey for the first time. She appeared in Wong Kar Wai's film Fallen Angels this year, for which she was named Best Supporting Actress at the Hong Kong Film Award and the Golden Bauhinia Awards. She appeared in more than 40 films in total.
