After an altercation with Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia, Denver Nuggets All-Star center Nikola Jokic was charged with a technical foul in the second quarter of Game 4 on Sunday. Josh Okogie, the Suns guard, collapsed into the seats in the second quarter while attempting to salvage a loose ball. He landed in a group of fans on the baseline with Ishbia, who grabbed the basketball. As Jokic tried to take the ball away from Ishbia, he was reportedly trying to get the basketball back to the Nuggets quickly, so the Nuggets could get off to their offensive possession. The ball shot backwards into the audience, and Ishbia was knocked backward by Jokic's elbow.
