After losing a wildcard game to the New York Giants, the Minnesota Vikings recalled defensive coordinator Ed Donatell

www.dailymail.co.uk, January 20, 2023
Ed Donatell, the Minnesota Vikings' defensive coordinator, was fired on Thursday, an unexpected decision on the veteran coach following a dismal start to his defense. During the regular season, the Vikings ranked second worst (31st) in yards allowed in the NFL and fourth worst in points allowed. In their wild-card round loss last week, the New York Giants lost 431 yards and 31 points. Coach Kevin O'Connell was hired by the Vikings a year ago and made Donatell his first defensive coordinator, marking his fourth different NFL team for which he has served.
