John Schneider Life

John Richard Schneider (born April 8, 1960) is an American actor and country music performer.

He is best known for his portrayal of Beaugard "Bo" Duke in the American television action/comedy series The Dukes of Hazzard (opposite Tom Wopat, Catherine Bach, and James Best), and James "Jim" Cryer on the television series The Haves and the Have Nots, which was created by Tyler Perry. Schneider has been a performer since the 1980s, releasing nine studio albums and a greatest hits box, as well as eighteen singles.

This total includes "I've Been Around Enough to Know," "Country Girls," "What Is a Memory Like You," and "You're the Last Thing I Needed Tonight," which have all hit the top of the Billboard country singles charts.

Early life

Schneider was born in Mount Kisco, New York, on April 8, 1960, the youngest of three boys for Shirley Conklin (1932-2016) and John "Jack" Schneider III (1930-2013), a pilot who had served in the United States Air Force. His mother is from Sanford, Florida. Robert, his older brother who lives in southern New York, was among his family's members. John, his older brother (also named John) died of lung disease at the age of 3, three years before John's birth. When John first started performing magic shows for his peers and their families, he began his life as an entertainer. When he was tied up and tossed into a swimming pond with the intention of re-creating Harry Houdini's legendary escape act, he got him into trouble. When he was 14 years old, he and his mother moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where his passion for performing continued. He attended North Springs High School in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

Personal life

Schneider co-founded the Children's Miracle Network in 1982 with Marie Osmond and her brothers. He formed FaithWorks Productions in 1995 to produce family-oriented videos and recordings. Although living with Johnny and June Carter Cash for a short time and consulting with Johnny about Christianity, Schneider became a born-again Christian in 1998.

Miss America Tawny Elaine Godin, 1983- 1986, Schneider was married to former Miss America Tawny Elaine Godin. On July 11, 1993, he married Elly Castle, his second wife, on July 11, 1993. Castle had filed for divorce, according to TMZ.com on December 12, 2014, both of whom are Castle's children and their daughter Karis, both of whom are older than her first marriage. Schneider has been involved with Alicia Allain, his production partner and the head of Maven Entertainment, since April 2015. Alicia is also his personal and career manager. They married in September 2019.

Schneider was good friends with James Best, who portrayed Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane in The Dukes of Hazzard, until his death on April 6, 2015, at the age of 88.

Schneider spoke with Fox News on June 12, 2018 about his impending three-day prison term for refusing to pay alimony to his estranged wife Elvira Castle. He said he had bad financial conditions and has spent his money on restoring his Louisiana studio, which was destroyed by the flood in August 2016. He was arrested at 10:29 a.m. and released at 3:45 p.m. The short term was owing to the overcrowded jail. He likened the prison guards' warm treatment to the "guilty until proven innocent" treatment he received in the court system. However, he would still have to do 240 hours of community service and pay the debt to Elvira, or face a five-year sentence.
