Christians and Jews alike adore the Pool of Siloam (recreated left and right in an animation), located in the southern portion of Jerusalem's City of David archaeological site, is treasured by Christians and Jews. Archaeologists are currently excavating the area, either allowing it to be opened to the public piece by piece or when the entire site is unearthed. It is likely that this will take several years. The site was constructed about 2,700 years ago as part of Jerusalem's water system in the eighth century B.C.
