Jenny Joseph Life

Jenny Joseph (17 May 1932-January 2018) was an English poet.

Early life and education

Jennifer Joseph was born in South Hill, Carpenter Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, Birmingham, England, on May 7th, 1932, with Louis Joseph, an antiques dealer, and Jane Cotton. The family was non-observant Jews. Joseph was evacuated to Devon early during the Second World War due to her father's work. She attributed this experience to her fascination with the changing light later.

She attended Badminton school in Bristol. In 1950, she received a scholarship to study English literature at St Hilda's College, Oxford.

Personal life

Joseph Coles married Charles Coles in 1961. The couple had three children, Martin, Nell, and Bec, as well as the Greyhound, a west London pub, although Joseph was still writing. They divorced and Joseph returned to Gloucestershire. "To my children, writers, readers of literature, and life-savers," she wrote in 1978.

The truth behind the Columbia Pictures 'Torch Lady' revealed

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 30, 2023
She's one of the most recognisable faces on film, but she isn't a Hollywood celebrity. We've been introduced to films since 1924 by Columbia Pictures' 'Torch Lady,' but Michael Deas, a 1991 artist, was ordered by the film company to upgrade its logo, and he asked photographer Kathy Anderson to take reference photos for his painting.' And when Deas failed to find a suitable model Anderson suggested Jenny Joseph, a graphic designer for New Orleans' The Times-Picayune at the time, as a model. Despite never modeling before, the British graphic designer admitted that she was not a good model. The shooting took place during a lunchbreak.
