Alauddin Al-Azad Life

Alauddin Al-Azad, a modern Bangladeshi author, novelist, and poet, died on May 3, 1932 – July 3, 2009.

Early life and education

Azad was born in Dhaka. He obtained a Secondary School Certificate and a Higher Secondary School Certificate in 1947 and 1949, respectively. He earned his BA (Honors) and MA degrees from Dhaka University in 1953 and 1954. He obtained his PhD from London University in 1970 for his research Iswar Gupter Jeebon Kabita. He was also the first secretary of the Bangladesh High Commission in Moscow. He died in Uttara Thana on July 3rd.
