Vikas Nath, 61, was arrested in the early hours of January 15 at exclusive Annabel's in Mayfair, after concerned employees called police. Nath, the father of one who lives in Knightsbridge, is the director of Terminal Ltd, the company behind high-end Indian restaurant Benares and Mayfair. According to his LinkedIn profile, the company's portfolio includes seven restaurants in the United Kingdom and Spain, two of which feature Michelin stars. According to the accusation, he gave gamma butyrolactone (GBL) to another individual who did not consent or with the intention of stupefying or overpowering her so as to encourage anyone to participate in a sexual activity involving her.' GBL is a precursor chemical to GHB (gamma hydroxybutyrate), which is colorless and often used as a recreational drug.
