Britain is 'sleepwalking into a preventable health crisis', according to campaign body Bite Back, and it is calling on the Government to restrict unethical marketing to halt the rise in childhood obesity. It found the UK's ten largest food and drink firms sold 262 products featuring child-appealing packaging - 78 per cent of these were classed as unhealthy. These included crisps, cereals, ice cream and sweets. TV chef Jamie Oliver, Bite Back's co-founder, said marketing targeted children directly.

Masterchef Australia made its triumphant return to screens on Monday night. During the season 16 premiere, twenty-two contestants were introduced and tasked with preparing their first dish of the season. One contestant, Nat Thaipun, stole the show by putting together a 'kangaroo larb with soy cured egg yolk and toasted rice wafer'.

The 13-year-old's book titled Let's Cook" is also the host of the YouTube cooking show Cooking Buddies, while the CBBC will debut Cooking Buddies this summer.
