Early life
Fábregas was born in Iriga City, Camarines, Philippines, to his parents Pedro Fábregas and Isabel Garca.
Personal life
Leticia Caballero, Fábregas' first wife, with whom he has three children, was married. The couple got divorced later in life. His children with Caballero were former actors, including Lara Fábregas, Paolo Fábregas, and Minco Fábregas.

Career
Fábregas began his acting career in the theatre before moving to show business. He made his way into Repertory Philippines, where he appeared in many plays and musicals.
Fábregas, a former host of Sic O'Clock News, is a former host of the gag show Sic O'Clock News (IBC 13). He is also a former wrestling segment reporter for Pinoy Wrestling (PTV 4, where he was dubbed the local version of WWE reporter Mean Gene Okerlund.
He has also been nominated for his films as a musical scorer. Shake, Rattle & Roll, which was on display at the 1984 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), was named recipient of the Best Music award, a film in which he performed the musical score. He also performed the musical score for Rizal sa Kutob and Kutob, which were also screened at the 1997 and 2005 MMFF respectively. Both films were given the Best Musical Score award.
In the ABS-CBN action-drama film Ang Probinsyano, starring Coco Martin, Fábregas is best known for his role as Lt. General Delfin S. Borja. He is also the show's musical director, who is visible behind the scenes.
